This is a new ACS assessment and includes Training and assessment for domestic engineers who are required to attend premises following ‘Concern for Safety’ from National Grid or Activation of Carbon Monoxide detector within the premises.

Carbon Monoxide / Dioxide Direct Analysis

This aims to train engineers in the correct actions steps to take prior to re-establishing gas supplies or turning heating appliances back on when there is a suspicion of Carbon Monoxide or excessive Carbon Dioxide present , and to measure and analyse atmosphere within properties to determine whether or not there is CO2 or CO present.

The training and assessment is aimed at competent and experienced engineers who wish to improved their combustion knowledge and gain a greater understanding of the combustion process. It uses a variety of Combustion and Ambient air analysers and allows the candidate to interpret the results and teaches how to record and report on findings to industry best practice.
